Attend A New Cultural Festival At Horniman Circle Garden

Indian Ocean.
Concerts at Horniman Circle Garden usually mean enduring poor acoustics and mosquitoes feasting on your feet. But these discomforts are easily ignored because the venue is so picturesque. Experience it in the shade of the garden’s banyan trees during Indikaleido, a new festival of dance and music that will held from Friday, November 2 to Sunday, November 4. The festival will feature, among others, the Prince Dance Group (Friday, 6.45pm, 7.35pm, and 8.35pm), the troupe from Orissa that won the reality show India’s Got Talent in 2009; Indiva (Friday, 9.20pm), a performance featuring keyboardist-composer Merlin D’Souza, kathak dancer Aditi Bhagwat, singers Vivienne Pocha and Hamsika Iyer and drummer Naama Choonawala; Fazal Qureshi and students of the Allarakha Institute of Music (Saturday, 5.30pm and 7pm); folk-fusion rock band Indian Ocean (Saturday, 8.15pm); and El Ferda (Sunday, 8.45pm), an Algerian Sufi music group. For the complete line-up, see here.
