Tickets For Guns N’ Roses December Gig Now On Sale

When we spoke to event management company Mooz Entertainment back in September, we asked them about the inherent risk in staging a concert by veteran American rock band Guns N’ Roses. Temperamental frontman Axl Rose is after all notorious for sometimes deciding to not show up on stage at the last minute. The organisers assured us that Mr. Rose was looking forward to performing in India and that they “highly doubt” that he would disappoint his fans here. However, after Mooz Entertainment cancelled nu-metal band Korn’s Mumbai show just two days before the gig, citing security concerns owing to “heavy rains” in the city, fans would be forgiven for being a bit cynical about Guns N’ Roses’s planned appearance. The Mumbai concert is scheduled for Sunday, December 9 (they play Bangalore on Friday, December 7 and Noida on Wednesday, December 12). Tickets, which are now on sale, are priced at Rs1,500 and Rs3,000, which (aside from the Rs10,000 per head “Premium Lounge” seats) are thus considerably cheaper than they were for Korn. In other words, if it’s been your lifelong dream to watch a GNR gig, you might still be able to keep some cash aside for a last-minute trip to the NCR.
