Petrol Pumps Call Off Protest

Mumbaikars will be able to tank up on petrol and diesel throughout the day after all. Petrol pump owners called off their indefinite protest on Tuesday, October 16 after just a day of keeping stations open for a single shift from 9am to 5pm. Owners have been campaigning for an increase in commissions, a demand that oil companies said they would look into. Their decision follows that of Maharashtra’s chemists who also called off their three-day strike that was to begin on Tuesday, October 16.
