If Rs40k Got You Lady Gaga, Rs3,500 Gets You…

Last year, Lady Gaga’s six-track performance at the inaugural Formula 1 event in Noida set the bar for what to expect at the race’s after party events, which is to say, a performance by a world-famous, chart-busting pop star, but at possibly the shortest time she’d be willing to shlep half way around the world for. This year, perhaps realising the wisdom in setting sights a little lower (and thus getting a full-length set), organisers will be bringing in sexagenarian guitarist Carlos Santana as part of their F1 Rocks music concert on Sunday, October 28 in Greater Noida (he will also be performing at Rock ‘N India in Bangalore on Friday, October 26). Tickets are a considerably cheaper at Rs3,500 (Lady Gaga was a cool 40k) for general admission; and Rs10,000 for access to the VIP Platinum Lounge.

And for those who’d rather get 40 grand worth of pop stardom, then fret not. Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas (aka the third most famous member after Fergie and will.i.am; bonus points for anyone who can name the fourth one), will be performing a blend of his “DJ talents with high energy dance, MC, crowd interaction and song” at the pop-up Amber Lounge at The Claridges Surajkund on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28. All that mixing of skills doesn’t come cheap though—tickets are €650 per head per night (about Rs44,597) and €5,200 for a table of eight (includes unlimited champagne and alcohol).

Visit In.ticketgenie.in for details of the Santana concert; email delhi@amber-lounge.com for details of Taboo’s performance.
