Bookings For The Mumbai Oktoberfest Now Open

This year, the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce’s annual celebration of Germany’s centuries-old drinking fest, which usually takes place at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in October, has been postponed to Friday, November 30. Beer lovers will be saddened to know that the three-day festivities have been cut short to one evening this year. Organisers have yet to confirm choice of beer or food, which they say will be “a selection of German sausages, salads and breads”. Passes are priced at Rs2,500 per person (excluding taxes) and will entitle you to unlimited pours of beer, but not the food, which will have to be purchased separately. In case you can’t make it on Friday, November 30, the Chamber intends to make the same beers and food available during its two-day Christmas fair, which will take place at the same venue on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2.
