Sunburn Noida
What: The annual Goa-based EDM festival, oganised by Percept with Submerge, travels to the National Capital Region.
Where: Unitech Golf and Country Club, Noida.
When: Sunday, October 7, from 3pm.
Who: Chart-topping Dutch house music DJ and producer Afrojack headlines a bill that includes Germany’s Moguai, Bosnia’s Arnej, Israel’s Astral Projection as well as local heroes such as Jalebee Cartel’s Arjun Vagale and Ash Roy, and festival co-organiser Pearl. See here for the full line-up.

The Great Indian October Fest, Bangalore
What: The Kingfisher-sponsored music and beer festival returns for an eighth year, with four stages and a couple of Bollywood acts.
Where: Jayamahal Palace, #1, Jayamahal Road, Bangalore.
When: Friday, October 12 to Sunday, October 14, from 2pm on all days.
Who: Finnish metal band Children of Bodom, British rapper Example, and American guitarist Greg Howe are part of the international contingent; singers Sunidhi Chauhan and Javed Ali are the Bollywood additions. Indian Ocean, The Raghu Dixit Project, Shaa’ir + Func, Papon, and Hari and Sukhmani are the indie acts who will also play the Hyderabad edition this weekend. NH7 Weekender, Delhi
What: The inaugural Delhi edition of the country’s “happiest music festival” will be a two-day event, with over 60 artists and six stages spanning multiple genres.
Where: Buddh International Circuit, Noida.
When: Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14.
Who: Metal superstars Megadeth, sitar player Anoushka Shankar, Pakistani pop and playback singer Shafqat Amanat Ali, German electronica duo Kaiserdisco comprise the international headliners. See here for the full line-up.

Rock ’N India, Bangalore
What: Event company DNA Networks’ annual international music festival that has over the years featured such huge names as Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, and erm…Backstreet Boys. Supporting acts are yet to be announced. Visit Rockinindia.com for details.
Where: Bhartiya City, Thanisandra Road, Bangalore.
When: Saturday, October 20, from 4pm and Friday, October 26, from 3pm.
Who: Thrash metal pioneers Slayer and legendary guitarist Santana perform on the first and second weekend respectively.

Jodhpur RIFF
What: The sixth edition of the annual Rajasthan International Folk Festival, which was picked as one of the best international festivals across the globe by UK-based world music magazine Songlines.
Where: Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur.
When: Friday, October 26 to Tuesday, October 30.
Who: Colombian ensemble Grupo Cimarron; Australian didgeridoo player Mark Atkins, whose visit is part of the nation-wide Oz Fest; Dutch DJ mps PILOT; Turkish multi-instrumentalist Burhan Ocal and his Istanbul Oriental Ensemble; Gaelic singer Kaela Rowan; and Sri Lankan percussion band Naadro and a host of vocal, instrumental and dance performances by artists from Rajasthan and across the country.  See the full line-up here.
