TEDxCity2.0 Will Focus On ‘Urban Lifescapes’

Ok, so a TEDx is not as fancy as an INK or THINK or a TED TED, but look at it this way: you’ll still be able to carry out the common primary intent (i.e. schmooze) but for a tenth of the price (Rs1,800 as against Rs1 lakh, Rs31,000 or via a hard-to-get invite). The speakers may not have nabbed a Nobel (yet), but they could (maybe) and isn’t that the more important thing? In other words, if you find yourself with nothing to do on Saturday, October 13 and with a desire to know about “Re-imagining Urban Lifescapes” then you should register for TEDxCity2.0, which will be held at Blue Frog from 4pm to 7.30pm. Among the speakers: Christopher Benninger, urban planner, architect and founder of The School of Planning in Ahmedabad; Roy Wadia, journalist and director of the Heroes Project; Joshua Zader, who founded a social networking site for Ayn Rand fans; Gautam Benegal, animator and illustrator; Vinta Nanda, television writer and filmmaker; and Rajesh Jain, known as “India’s first dot-come billionaire”; among others.
