Two New Delivery Websites For The Mumbai Foodie

BBQ smoked ham from Foodesto.com.
Two recently-launched sites are sure to warm every foodie’s organic certified soul. Farm2Kitchen.com, which launched last year but started delivery in Mumbai this April, deals in organic certified dry products only. Which means everything they offer—the masala mixes, chutneys, papads, spices, pulses, oils, flour, herbs, pastas and cornflakes—has been certified by the USDA, EU or NPOP (the organic food governing bodies of the US, Europe and India respectively). The clunky lay-outs aside, Farm2Kitchen has a great mix of products (including gluten-free flour and spice rubs), free shipping (on orders above Rs400) and prices at MRP.
More geared toward the average Mumbai foodie is Foodesto.com, an organic and gourmet food online store, which delivers baked goods, cold cuts, meat, cheese, dips, jams, chocolates, drinks, cooking equipment and gluten-free goods to city residents only. The deli meats come from Bandra deli Sante and the baked products (like bagels and croissants) from Moshe’s. Their brand range is definitely the lure; they’ve got 130 local and international ones, among them Valrhona, Under the Mango Tree, Tyrrells, Waterthins, plus FabIndia, Dak, Haribo, and Kettle Chips to name but a few. Order before 6pm and your goodies will be delivered the very next day with free shipping on orders over Rs1,000.

Farm2Kitchen not worth for Mumbai.
Good to read your article and get some updates on newbees. Thats informative.
I tried ordering from Farm2Kitchen. Experience of buying from them was not good. Definitely don’t recommend for people in Mumbai.
My order amount was about Rs. 500. They mentioned free door delivery. But, FedEx took Rs. 138 as extra charges at the time of delivery.
Their terms and conditions are very well in place as they mention that government duties like Octroi, etc. is EXTRA in their terms and conditions that we generally tend not to see. But just to mention Octroi duty on order was just Rs. 26 and FedEx charged some Service charge of Rs. 100 and Service tax on all above. I have receipts of each including Octroi.
In short, not for Mumbai people. We have better options like “The Organic Garden” having shops all over Mumbai.
