View Slideshow The folks at nifty visual art blog Visual Disobedience have a knack for ferreting out some of the most interesting graphic art being created today (including the adventures of this portly superhero). Now, ahead of their official launch party, they’re selling some of those art works by, among others, Janine Shroff, Vidha Saumya, Anirban Ghosh, Niyati Upadhya, Amrita Bagchi and Prabha Mallya (Mallya is the woman behind the illustrations in Nilanjana Roy’s delightful cat parable The Wildings) on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23 at indie art venue Last Ship. Prices range from Rs1,500 to Rs15,000. As a bonus, director Sudhir Mishra will be in conversation with film journalist Indu Mirani on Saturday at 3pm. Email kevin@visualdisobedience.com to register for the talk, which is free and open to all. To see some of the works, click on the “view slideshow” button, above.
