Kick Off The Gigging Season With Sky Rabbit

September heralds the concert season and what better way to start the next few months of gig hopping than with a show by one of our favourite Mumbai bands, indie electro-pop group Sky Rabbit, who perform at Blue Frog this Tuesday, September 4. Members of the band, who released their long-awaited debut album in January, have spent the last few months working on solo side projects (listen to SnowShoe aka guitarist Rahul Nadkarni’s electronica outfit here, and to Your Chin, vocalist Raxit Tewari’s indie pop alter ego here). The quartet, which recently scored a surprise nomination in the Best Rock Album category at the Global Indian Music Awards (jury members include Anup Jalota and Javed Akhtar) for their self-titled debut, is currently recording an EP of tunes that they wrote after wrapping up Sky Rabbit. Fans will be pleased to know that the gig should include at least one brand new track, the characteristically-titled “Sun Me Out”.
