The Vigil Idiot: Ek Tha Tiger

August 17, 2012 8:01 am by

I’ll be honest. It’s kinda silly to go into a Salman Khan film expecting logic. Just give us two hours of the man on screen, and people will be entertained. Director Kabir Khan, however, decided to go another way and tried to make a sane film that required our superstar to *shudder* act. And when you make Salman Khan (who plays RAW agent Tiger) and Katrina Kaif (playing rival ISI agent Zoya) do that, the results can be, well, iffy.

first of all DON’T WATCH( I AM SERIOUS ,dude) any Chris Nolan movies before u wanna watch a bollywood movie. coz u will over flood ur already overfilled brain, and those who seek logic may want to join MATHS classes, or just visit Rajnikant(he may also teach you some physics lessons too) rather searching logical viewpoints and results in movies that too bollywood. We shouldn’t forget that we new what was coming way beyond before even you saw the trailer ,but then though salla SADI KA LAADOO JO KHAYA WOH PACHHTAYA JO NAHI KHAYA WOH BHI PACHHTAYA, now bolo yeh sahi he ki nahi. BUT last but not the list thanks for preping up a fantastic spoof layout of the movie, which was genuinely hilarious. u wanted 2 hrs of entertainment on which u could comment and digest your luncheon u got it.SO WHY DO YOU CRY and do our bheja fry!
pheww! thanks for reading so much

What the Hell Saahil, We follow ur blog regularly…this was a disappointment…

how the hell did u not mention the charter plane that she flew…the high jumps and the incredible action …

    SAD …. :-/

  23. rehan |

i wasn’t excepting anything serious or logical from salman’s movie (after ready and bodygaurd)*, but i had some faith on YRJ… they never produce a bad movie (this much) under their production house … i thought if they can produce good (entertaining not serious stuff)* with new comers and any lalo panjo they must be doing a lil bit entertaining stuff too with ETT … but boss they failed :( ( honestly after watching promo i had lil bit high exceptions … “SIGH”

  24. Also missed the bit where the ISI agent says “Left mein rakhna” & the driver promptly turns right. It’s no wonder that both these countries are in complete disarray.

  25. John |

Ae, chal! Take Na! —-> EPIC! Should be the tagline for Bollywood.

  26. shud have covered the super apparent stunt duplicate of Kat in the parkour scenes as also Sallu’s intelligence when splitting a country into 2 gives you 3 countries… so many faux pas in this film. wud have been a treat

  27. SZA |

Ha3. Very funny. I enjoyed it from the beginning.

  28. nirmal |

An intelligent way to describe an Intelligent plot …this piece of shit is surely paisa vasooool!

  29. shiv mathur |

    Absolutely superb … Thanks !!

  30. J |

No ‘Sholay reunion’ this time? :)

  31. Leks |

Wow! awesomely hilarious stuff ….even without the badass words :) and now i can go see the movies for salman khan wonly

  32. Sameer |

Your last review of Jism 2 was one of your best works but sadly, this is one of the least funny ones. Maybe because the lack of colourful language as someone said.

  33. is there actually a daily flight to karachi from havana as sallu bhai suggest to bhabhi that she needs to take if something happens? our ISI and RAW agents dance and sing alright. bhenfuck anyway.

  34. CuriousZeta |

The best part was “Ae, chal, take na” :)

  35. son of chandrachur singh |

i’m actually a tad disappointed…based on your usual work and the kick ass potential of the last half hour which you totally skipped. As with Ranvir Shorey’s presence in dublin..

  36. Akhil |

Please get back to your own domain, the lack of colourful language makes these reviews far less entertaining.

  37. vivek |

    hahaha “CHU..”

  38. Harsh Gupta |

    Haven’t seen the movie…but this is damn good….Hahahahahaahaha….Hilarious :P :P :P :P
    “Chal take na”

  39. Disha Parekh |

    Brilliant!

  40. wagamama |

your stick figures are far more entertaining than the retarded twosome on screen with barely any acting capabilities.

  41. ashish agrawal |

damn hilarious.. havent seen the film and dnt plan to see it either.. , bt this piece is fucking hilarious.. !
u anyway dnt expect any intelligence from salman khan’s film bt then trying he trying to be a RAW agent must be the most dumb casting ever.

  42. Rosh |

Haha, nice! But not awesome, perhaps the script wasnt that bad to give you some serious ass stuff

  43. uday |

    Great work. Thanks

  44. pepguru |

Awesome shit ! Am talking about the movie here. Can’t believe YRF would capture the tiger and make him purr like a kitten. What a colossal waste of what could have been “paisa vasool”

  45. Rishabh |

oh, it was damn hilarious…good enough to get anyone burst out with laughter!

  46. Arka |

Brilliant stuff! You’ve underlined everything that matters – the lack of story, shirtiness and even Sallu’s eyes. :P

  47. What? No mention of the insanely awesome CGI work in the climax sequence or the fantastically spectacular video grab from security grabs from around the world?

  48. Vedant |

Awesome Sauce! :P It is like the return of Sahil Riwzan! ;) Well done =) You could have used words like asshats, fucknuts, shitbums, etc :P

  49. Anya |

OMFGGG! This is freakin hilarious. The best line was “Ae chal. Take na.”….HAHAHHAHAHAA. Epic work Sahil!
