Bandra Has A New Bagel Store

OPENINGS
• Sanal Nair, a former advertising professional who started a bagel delivery service under the name Bagelwala in March this year, has launched the first Bagelwala store, in Bandra. The menu includes salads; a variety of flavoured bagels such as sesame, poppy, sundried tomato, and cranberry; and fillings such as cream cheese, sundried tomato and cream cheese, and bacon with scallions. Bagelwala also serves breakfast bagels such as bacon, egg, and cheese; chicken sausage and egg; egg white; and peanut butter and banana. Daily, from 8.30am to 10pm. • A new outpost of Paninaro, the chain of gourmet salad and sandwich shops, is slated to open at Atria Mall in Worli, on Thursday, August 16. Ground Floor, Atria Mall, next to Promod, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli.

CLOSING
Bianca, the Khar patisserie which opened in March this year, has shuttered. Patisserie owner Sahil Wadhwa informed us that they closed in July.

LAUNCH
• SABmiller India, which owns brands such as Haywards, Royal Challenge, and Foster’s, has launched a new beer called Indus Pride. The four spice-flavoured variants of Indus Pride are citrusy coriander, citrusy cardamom, spicy fennel, and fiery cinnamon. A 330ml bottle is priced at Rs85. Available at wine stores across the city.
