Joss And Tetsuma Have Shuttered

Joss.
• Joss, the Oriental restaurant in Kala Ghoda, has shuttered. A source at Joss informed us that the restaurant closed in May for renovations, but it’s uncertain whether it will re-open. Restaurant owner Farrokh Khambata, who also runs Amadeus and the Cafe at The NCPA in Nariman Point, will open a new Oriental restaurant in the same building as Eros cinema in Churchgate, in the space previously occupied by the Spanish restaurant and lounge Valhalla.
• Last week we reported that Colaba nightclub Prive has closed and will be replaced by a new establishment in September. Tetsuma, the Japanese restaurant that was located next door to Prive, has also shuttered. Vikrant Chougule, the managing director of Indage Restaurants, the company that owns Prive and Tetsuma, said that they will open a new restaurant in place of Tetsuma in two months.
• The popular Khar outpost of Maroosh, the shawarma and Mughlai cuisine restaurant located off Carter Road, has closed for renovations. The restaurant is slated to re-open in August.
