Freida Pinto Promotes ‘Trishna’ In The US

On Wednesday, Freida Pinto made an appearance on American talk show Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to promote her movie Trishna. Other than explaining to Fallon that her last name Pinto means “little chick” or “penis”, Pinto demonstrated her accent-morphing skills, which now appear to be migrating towards the sunny coasts of California. The film, which releases in US cinemas today, has gotten mixed reviews, with some, like The New York Times giving props to Pinto for being one of the largely lifeless movie’s “loveliest attractions” and others like Entertainment Weekly simply stating: “Freida Pinto is so placid she’s a bit of a bore”.
