Is John 00 Fleming the electronic dance music equivalent of Canadian rocker Bryan Adams? Like Adams, British trance DJ and producer Fleming is an Indophile. Mumbai city “is one of my favorites to play”, he has previously said, before adding that the team behind electronica-centric event management company Submerge “have become my second family”. It was no surprise then when Fleming, who started his J00F Editions series of gigs “to distance the underground from the commercial“, in the UK, brought them to India last year, in association with Submerge. The second J00F Editions tour of the country kicks off this Thursday, July 12, in Mumbai, at Royalty in Bandra, before visiting Bangalore and Hyderabad over the weekend. Submerge co-founder and popular house DJ Pearl will also perform on all three dates of the tour.
