WTF! In Khar Has Shut Down

You’re probably thinking that this news is Dhoble’s doing, but surprisingly the arch nemesis of Mumbai’s pub goers apparently has nothing to do with the newest casualty in the city’s nightlife scene. The popular Khar watering hole, well loved for its unpretentious vibe, affordable booze, and retro pop and rock playlists, shuttered two weeks ago on account of “internal issues with the landlord”, said owner, Kishore D. F., who also owns The Big Nasty. The pub will be closed indefinitely, said Kishore D. F., which means that WTF! loyalists need to start scouting for a new den of choice. Karaoke champs who would flock to the pub every Monday needn’t despair though, the Andheri outpost of WTF!, which has had no skirmishes with landlords or the law (as yet), hosts karaoke nights every Tuesday. The only other sliver of good news is that Kishore D. F. is looking for a “midtown” location for a new WTF!, but hasn’t finalised anything yet.
