Food Review: Smooch
Juhu’s new fro-yo store Smooch looks like a cross between an amusement arcade and the dining area of a space ship. The colorful counter is done up in bright lights, striped wallpaper, and mirrors encircled by naked bulbs. The seating section is painted in all white with a white bench, bucket seats, and bar stools. Like Yoforia in Bandra, Smooch has opted for the self-service format, the only advantage of which is that you can mix two or more flavours in a single serving.
Smooch serves over a dozen toppings from jellybeans to fruit and will offer about 80 fro-yo flavours on a rotational basis. Judging by their current selection of original, strawberry cheesecake, frozen custard, mango ginger, carrot cake, and chocolate fudge pudding fro-yo, we won’t be holding our breath for the new flavours mainly because the fanciful names given to some of the offerings are quite misleading. For instance, the carrot cake fro-yo bore no resemblance to the classic dessert and instead had the odd bitter aftertaste that one associates with marzipan made with too much almond essence. The frozen custard flavour was like an equally creamy but less tart version of their original fro-yo.
Don’t expect the sweetness of mangoes in the pale brown mango ginger fro-yo; it tastes more like Parle’s Kismi toffee. Chocolate fiends should avoid the disappointing fallow coloured chocolate pudding flavoured fro-yo, which we suspect was made using a powder with the barest trace of cocoa. Currently, the only bankable flavours at Smooch are the original and strawberry cheesecake ones, even though cheesecake is an inaccurate description for what is simply sweet and tangy strawberry flavoured frozen yoghurt. Smooch may be swankier looking than its nearby competitors Cocoberry and Yogurberry, but in terms of taste, all three are just about average.
Prices start at 0.85 paise per gram without toppings and Rs1.10 per gram with toppings.

on entering we enquired if we could taste, and they did not have spoons to let us taste….on asking them how could i taste without a spoon, so they expressed that we could lick it??????? YUCK!!!!!all the more they did not give me a bill for my purchase and also over charged me….i realised after i had left the store, and called them back, the manager did not take charge of the situation and also i was given the icorrect mail id to post my query…..gear up guys….absolutely horrible experience..
Looks like Purva just went on the bit too much on the flavor and not really understood the texture and the feel. Pardoned indeed… Though there is room for improvement in chocolate flavor, its one of the very few places you can go and experience a good frozen yogurt..
The yogurt was tasteless, insipid and ridiculously overpriced. all i took back are the funky spoons.

I love the store! Its the first frozen yogurt store that actually has seating! Hallelujah!!!! A new entrant who is doing it right. Its clean and funky!
Each to their own, I loved the flavors and quality of the frozen yogurt. Its nice to go back and see there are new falvours every time, with the same yummy texture.
Guys @ Smooch, dont change the colours and intensity of the flavors. Keep it natural. No need for extra calories to pile on

I disagree with your review. I found the flavors to be quite true to their names. Me mate Tuna and I thought the chocolate was much better than described and it goes awesome with the toppings they serve.
