Mia Cucina To Open In Powai

• Mia Cucina, the Italian restaurant with outposts in Bandra and Andheri, will open in Powai on Monday, July 2. The menu of salads, pizzas, pastas and mains, will be the same as the ones at the Bandra and Andheri restaurants. The new outpost will offer a new sandwich and tea menu and a larger selection of imported wines. Daily, noon to midnight. • Juhu has a new frozen yoghurt store called Smooch. The store offers a rotating selection of over 100 fro-yo flavours such as acai pomegranate; amaretto; Belgium hazelnut; blueberry; bubblegum; Canadian maple nut; coffee espresso; pumpkin pie; English toffee; and creme brulee. The current selection is made up of original, strawberry, chocolate, mango ginger, carrot cheesecake and custard flavours. In addition to frozen yoghurt, the store also sells smoothies. WORKSHOPS
• Trikaya, the South East Asian restaurant in Andheri, will conduct a dim sum workshop on Thursday, June 28, at 11am. Chef Nilesh Limaye will demonstrate how to stuff, mould and steam dim sum like prawn har gow, vegetable shumai and chicken supreme. Vikas Seth, the chef at Sancho’s, the Mexican restaurant in Bandra, will prepare guacamole; roasted tomato salsa with tortillas; corn, zucchini and jalapeno chimichangas; habanero Tequila cottage cheese; and Mexican rice with lettuce salad.
