Two New Delivery Services For Night Owls

We’ve all been there. It’s 2am, you’re with friends, watching a Euro-zone match perhaps, and out of cigarettes, soda and snacks. Your options at this point are either to call the one late-night neighbourhood kirana store that may just still be open, or to beg an obliging friend to come by with his supplies. Later this week, nightbirds will be provided with a third option, when new website Flybyknight.in starts operating its services. The site, started by former Google employee Neha Jain and her business partner Sanjiv Nair, will provide residents from Bandra to Andheri with soft drinks, water, cigarettes, chocolates, biscuits, chips, chewing gum, Maggi, antacids and even sanitary pads and condoms, between 11pm and 3am from Wednesday to Sunday. In short, it will be a one-stop source for all the vital necessities when you’re hit with the midnight munchies or are in need of emergency supplies. Jain says that soon after they go live sometime this week, Fly By Knight will begin selling rolls and finger foods. She also hopes to eventually expand the site’s coverage area to other neighbourhoods. As for the name? Watch out for the delivery boys, who will be in “costume”, says Jain.

In the meantime, South Mumbai folk can try Nightcall.in, another new site, which also delivers a similar array of snacks and drinks plus a much larger variety of cigarettes to those living between Cuffe Parade and CST. Unlike Fly By Knight however, they operate only on weekends, from Friday to Sunday, between 11pm and 4am.

Both Fly By Knight and Nightcall levy a flat Rs50 delivery charge on orders. Visit Flybyknight.in and Nightcall.in for more information.

I am talking about Nightcall.in ….. Maggi cup noodles are for Rs 25 per cup. These guys will charge you double ie. Rs. 50 per cup, plus 50 bucks as delivery charge. I’m paying Rs.100 for a cup of Maggi???? I’d rather go down take a walk and look for a store that is open :p Mumbaiboss…. try http://www.saralshopping.com/ i havent tried it but they atleast dont CHEAT… and they have COD option

What the HELL is with these marked up prices ?? Like Maggi for Rs 40? Especially when they are charging Rs50 extra as delivery charges..on what basis can they sell Maggi at such a rate. MRP = maximum retail price and if u charge anything else above it, u can be sued.

  6. Why are they operating only on certain days of week? Is it that one wont need Condom OR Cigs on Monday ? OR monday is NO SEX day ? OR is it that some stupid company sold survey to them saying, Monday is least volume day for condoms / Cigs and Girls don’t get periods on monday and they wont need sanitary pads.
    WTF ?
