Petrol Prices Up To Nearly Rs80 A Litre

Petrol Prices. Petrol prices will increase by more than Rs7.50 a litre starting today, with prices averaging around Rs78.58 in Mumbai, Rs73.18 in Delhi and Rs77.88 in Kolkata. This is the steepest increase in prices, which were last revised in November 2011. The highest increase till now has been Rs5, which was twice done in May 2008 and May 2011. [Reuters]

Typing Error. A typo in the police report for the Reebok India fraud has inflated the cost of the scam from Rs870 crore to Rs8,700 crore. Gurgaon police say it was due to a “small printing error” and have sacked a computer operator for making it. Reebok India had filed an FIR against its former managing director and COO alleging that they stole products, set up secret warehouses, and fudged accounts to create fictitious sales.
