Shop For Designerwear At The Hamara Footpath Garage Sale

EXHIBITION
• On Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17, Mumbai-based entrepreneurs Jyoti Gwalani, Sonia Mehta and Purvi Parekh will host a clothing and fashion accessories exhibition, called The Ides of March at Tranceforme, Parekh’s furniture store in Mahalaxmi. You can shop for white cotton dresses by Savio Jon; summery dresses with floral prints in light silks by Anupama Dayal; chunky necklaces crafted with buttons and safety pins by Anuj Sharma; light cotton shirts for men by Joli, embroidered floral clutches by Designs by K; and tops, dresses and trousers in handloom silks and khadi by Zuilee. SALES
Hamara Footpath, an NGO that works for the welfare of street children in Churchgate, will host a garage sale at the Pali Naka outpost of Candies on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17, from 11am to 8pm. You will find clothing by designers Gauri & Nainika, Rocky S., Swapnil Shinde and Tarun Tahiliani and high-street brands Zara, Gap and Calvin Klein. Haute Trotter, a New York-based company that deals in pre-owned designerwear and vintage clothing, has contributed ten items (including a pair of Ferragamo heels) to the sale. The two-day event will also feature performances by electro-rock band Sky Rabbit, Hindi-pop-rock group Airport, acoustic rock act Dischordian, singer/songwriter Sid Coutto, and a beatboxing set by Scribe vocalist Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. • In the first week of March, luxury brands Jimmy Choo, Bottega Veneta and Tumi launched their boutiques at Palladium in Lower Parel. The Jimmy Choo store stocks women’s shoes, handbags, and sunglasses; at Tumi, you can shop for travel bags, handbags and sunglasses; and at Bottege Veneta you will find handbags and wallets.
