Another Flash Mob Planned This Weekend?
By now, you’ve probably seen the video of the riotous flash mob, which took place on Sunday, November 27 at CST station. If chatter on Twitter and Facebook is to believed, then there might be a second one taking place this Sunday, December 11 possibly at Azad Maidan to coincide with a bike and car rally in support of anti-corruption evangelist Anna Hazare. The Facebook event page, titled helpfully “Synchronized Mob Dance during the Car and Bike Rally in Mumbai” says the location of the flash mob will be announced on Sunday itself. Dance practices are already underway, though we hope the mob will consist of a few hundred more than the 41 people who have thus signed up. As for the car and bike rally, “cyclists, bikers, private cars owners, taxis, buses, and transport vehicles” are all encouraged to make their way from Shivaji Park to Azad Maidan this Sunday at 10.30am, to show solidarity for Hazare and his Jan Lokpal bill (which is still languishing in Parliament). For more details, visit the Facebook page.
