Le15 Patisserie’s New Outpost

Don't leave without trying the raspberry tart.
Paris-trained pastry chef Pooja Dhingra, who launched Le15 Patisserie in Worli in June, has followed up with a second branch at lifestyle store Good Earth, in Lower Parel. We suggest you make a trip to the new outpost because Dhingra has added more sweet treats to her menu, which aren’t available at the Worli branch. Among the new confections are mini Oreo cupcakes (Rs35 each; already her new best-sellers), each with its own tiny Oreo cookie lodged in the cream cheese frosting. Though cute to look at, the frosting was intensely sweet and best skipped in favour of the popular Belgian chocolate cupcake and the red velvet. Another new addition is the purple-coloured coffee macaroon (Rs50 each), which has an intense coffee cream centre that makes for a neat post-lunch shot of caffeine. The raspberry tart (Rs120) and mini eclairs (Rs40 each) are the real new winners, both perfectly executed and sweetened. We recommend skipping the Nutella granola squares (Rs50 each), which leave a strange synthetic aftertaste and don’t quite measure up to Le15′s other desserts. Post Diwali, Le15 at Good Earth will also serve a limited breakfast, which will include croissants and pain au chocolat.

Tweeting about this in the middle of the day when people are trying to work is just plain mean!
Great review. That raspberry tart has my name on it.
