MUSIC
Sergent Garcia at Blue Frog
Sergent Garcia is the stage name of Paris-based musician Bruno Garcia, whose love for salsa led him to develop his own brand of the genre in 1997. You can hear that infectious, multi-lingual blend of timba (Cuban salsa music), reggae and Cuban son (a style of music that incorporates the Spanish guitar with African rhythms) when he performs at Blue Frog on Friday. Garcia’s lyrics (sung in Spanish and French) tend to address racial politics, but also touch on more light-hearted matter like love and parties.
When: Friday, October 15 at 9.30pm.
Where: Blue Frog, Mathuradas Mills Compound, opposite Kamala Mills, Tulsi Pipe Road, Lower Parel. Tel: 6158 6158. The entrance charge is Rs500.

Improv Comedy Workshop at The Hub

The two-day workshop will include creating scenes and characters and involve a crash course in being spontaneous. To see a clip from June’s class at Zenzi Mills click here.
When: 1pm to 5.30pm on Satuday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17.
