Go Green at a Bonsai Exhibition
Tried goldfish but didn’t work? How about a Bonsai plant? These pint-sized trees are the perfect Mumbai plants, occupying minimal space in small flats. Starting today, you can pick up a mini orange (or chickoo or bougainvillea) tree at Jyoti and Nikunj Parekh’s Bonsai exhibition in Babulnath, which the husband-and-wife duo have been hosting for the past 15 years. Be warned, however: Bonsai, though pretty to look at, are fussy plants requiring regular care and attention. And if gardening isn’t your thing, pick up artist Harinakshi Mistry’s Japanese-inspired porcelain tiles and plates, or Sonali Maniar’s nature-inspired stationery label, Templetree.
The Bonsai plants start at Rs350, and the stationery at Rs110.

Hi,
Your name came up in a google search for bonsai trees in Mumbai. I am interested in purchasing bonsai trees of chicku, orange and lemon. Could you please guide me.
Many thanks.
I would like to know more about this workshop… I have been growing bonsai for the past 10 yrs. I live abroad but I usually make a trip down to Bombay every year. Is this workshop for anyone? I am very much interested. Please get back on my e-mail with the details. Thanks alot… Cheers!
